Interesting error condition: Deepseek API

Check here - you'll see DeepSeek is having problems: https://status.deepseek.com The symptom is new: I'm sporadically seeing extremely low reasoning Tok/s and also occasional pauses on the first token returned in reasoning - i.e. it returns a single word and then pauses. Sometimes thinking resumes and sometimes it times-out. Because it's not erroring-outright (i.e. 503) my API facing program doesn't detect it as an error unless it times out.
